Why is Orkut so addicting ?

The fascination of Orkut is that it does not let you go. Once you have logged in you cannot just leave it. One would have never known that leaving scarps for friends and acquaintances is such fun. After a person joins Orkut slowly and slowly more people start discovering that person. There are a few from some organization, few from some other organization, few college mates and few school friends and it keeps rolling. The list of friends in always growing and as you interact with each other there comes a time when you feel that you have so many things common with many people. This compulsion to find like minded people can be done through Orkut and so no one can resist it.

If a person is an outgoing, extrovert, fun loving, looking for friends, then, yes Orkut is an addiction.   Orkut is friendship based site, where people create their profile, few would be genuine and rest all would be fake, and upload their pictures to share with those friends who are far, and cannot be contacted. The addiction of Orkut is such that it has been banned in many offices and the reason given is wastage of man power.

On Orkut one starts searching friends from one friend, then go on to peep in their profile, search for community that interest you. There are variety communities with such diversity as from cars to condoms or dolls to dialysis. You join a community and then you become active, people will scrap some comment and then it goes on and goes on, and hence the first thing as soon as you are on the net is that you would do is to login to Orkut check new guy /  gal or weather your scrapped or not.

Orkut is so addictive that one would love to sit on it for hours together, for such frivolous reasons like looking for friends, reading testimonials and scraps for other friends, or serious reasons like searching for communities that might be of an interest to you and its whole group of world filled from New Delhi to New York.

Orkut addiction has reached new levels, people spend their free time reading and writing scraps on this so called social networking site. It is one of the more addicting things on campus - but the biggest benefits of it is that it really does put you back in touch with old high school friends and you can see what they’re up to and all that.

Orkut make available many capabilities including online dating, people who share the same hobbies and interests as well as possible business connections. Once the line of your interest is known you ill be able to keep in touch with people having same interest and also create your own community or special interest arena. The special interest community lets you have many discussions on many topics the scope runs deep with Orkut as there are many variations available. Social networking in itself is very addictive, so is Orkut.

On Orkut everyone knows when your birthday is and they all say happy birthday, as if they all knew you. So happy Orkuting to you all.

Social Networking is a community of individuals who share a common interest and interact with each other. They share common interests and have close knit relationship with each other. ORKUT is one of popular social networking sites.

Orkut had 100,000 members within 48 hours of its launch and the membership is still growing. Since its inception in 2004, Orkut has seen incredible growth around the world. It is often heard that Orkut means a lot to them. With so many members, the temptation of meeting old and new friends is strong. Its membership was at first through invitation only, but now is through Gmail. More and more people log on to it, people get familiar with it as they repeatedly return. The craze for Orkut has not diminished and does not look that it is going to do so in near future.

Social Networking is a rage and many sites have come and become popular but are not to be seen anywhere on the net now. Quite a few of them have come and were predicted as to be the next big thing and have many of these have come along and how many were touted as the next big thing. How many have disappeared completely or find themselves in some strange little unexplainable niche. Though Orkut is still there and will be for quite some time. It is still running in its own steam.

Orkut has been wildly popular in Brazil, where more than 70% of its users are based. Indeed, Orkut has made Portuguese a second language in its interface. Though in USA, the country of its inception it is not so popular.

Despite the fact that Orkut is known as social networking site it can be great tool for growing your business and advancing your career. The trends set by Orkut like the virtual networking may be looking like a social trend right now but expect it to become an integral part of standard business practice just as e-mail has. It not only will have social networking but also business networking which makes it so compelling.

To Internet companies around the world, it has become more than apparent that Internet users are embracing Orkut with great enthusiasm. The Internet is becoming more than just a place to find information - it is now a place to interact, communicate, learn and opine on a wide variety of subjects. Orkut has a forum that has popped up all over the site in order for members to share information, ask questions and even form relationships. This is a trend which is not going to fade away anywhere in near future.

Orkut has a population of teenagers and middle aged people also. Every year new users join Orkut and the chain is ever growing. The bubble of Orkut has not burst and does not look like it is going to burst in near future. There are other social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook but it has kept its feet firmly planted. Facebooks security policies and tools are professional enough that a Facebook user does not receive even a spam friend request.

A new cultural experience is taking place it’s called the Facebook experience. No one can do without it after logging in. The temptation is so large that it is hard to resist it. One just logs in to look upon a friend but it does not end there, one has the urge to view other’s profiles or update one’s own. Few want to upload pictures or give a detailed explanation about the party last night. Each and everyone have to a reason to be on Facebook Even a trivial reason will do. Once inside you just don’t want to log out. The list goes on and on and on. At any free time on any campus one will see at least one or two people logged on the Facebook.

Social networking has been brought to new heights by the internet. New tools and sites are being developed to satisfy the curiosity of human nature. One still feels joy while meeting old friend. The social nature has come to new dimension with Facebok - you just can’t do without it. Peeping tom instinct is there in everyone. We always want to know what the other person is doing – even our best friend. What better way to do than to just register to Facebook and find all the details one wanted to know. It not only keeps you in touch but also helps you preserve the old as well as new contacts.

A student wants to be affiliated to his/ her classmates and know all about it. It is not easy to keep in touch with all the fellow students. Generally a group is formed and students move in that limited circle only. It does not mean that they don’t want to know more about fellow students who do not come in their direct social network. Facebook gave a chance to them to find out more about the fellow students. We are very curious people and not easily satisfied. We want to know more about everyone. Facebook understood this and handed it to us on platter.

Once you log on to Facebook it is like a wide world. This world has its own circle which has no geographical barriers. The joy of finding a close friend who lives across the Atlantic or even in the same city but one was not aware of the fact. It has given a chance to have a growing pleasure among young professionals to keep up with friends, partners and potentials. Facebook gave an opportunity to be affiliated to all one’s friends even after passing out. The compelling desire to know all about what’s happening in an old friends life can be satiated though Facebook.

Not only students but people living a certain area can make a base and have friends on the basis like the city you live in, the high school you went to or the musical variety that you like. The photo sharing network of Facebook is one quite a large one and is so much in vogue that one cannot just resist it.

The new age diary which has every one listed with updated address book is Facebook. The hassle of changing address after one move out of city is just a click away now. The old as well new are just a click away. The facebook has preserved it for us.

Why MySpace Is So Addicting

The World Wide Web offers so many opportunities to those who are in search of something. Whether it is employment, friendship, love, or a simple item off of eBay the Internet opens up such a wide selection for almost anything. Even though there are so many websites out there that connect people and allow them to meet people from around the world MySpace has an overall advantage. MySpace not only gives you the chance to meet others but it gives you the option of personalizing everything. When I’m relaxing I enjoy being able to sit down in front of my computer, logging into MySpace and seeing the work I have created. My MySpace reflects who I am. I enjoy being able to have the ability to create a layout and design as well as adding some of my favorite music to it. I enjoy searching for new quizzes, images, labels and other fun stuff to improve my MySpace. When my friends view my MySpace they learn more about who I am as an individual just by seeing what kind of stuff I’m into. I also enjoy being able to go to the MySpace groups and finding others who are into the same things as me. I currently belong to several different MySpace groups and loving every minute of it.
Something about MySpace that makes it so special is that you can really be who you are. For example when I enter the discussion boards for my groups I feel as though I can be myself and talk about whatever is related to the subject at hand. By being a part of a group it allows me to be around others who I don’t feel pressured by to be someone I’m not. I’m able to talk freely. The classifieds on MySpace is awesome as well. I’m able to find things that I need to buy for my business as well as finding people who can help me with services that I need. I enjoy being on MySpace because it has so much to do. I normally make 5 or 6 new friends a day within a couple of hours of being online. Making new friends is always great and what are the chances of you being able to meet such great people offline as quickly as you can online? Its great to be able to go to one place on the Internet and find everything that you need. Your able to make new friends, find others who are share the same love for hobbies as you do, or maybe even find that special one. I’m so addicted to my MySpace because its just a lot of fun. The site is so relaxed without so many restrictions. I know my friends enjoy changing their layouts, hitting the discussion boards, and checking out the new music videos that are added daily. One of my favorite things about MySpace is when I log in and I see new comments by my friends. Whether they are just saying hi or checking in on me its great to see that they are thinking about me. Its also exciting to see new friend requests or new bulletins to read. You can never be bored on MySpace due to the unlimited things to do. So why do I think MySpace is addicting? MySpace has everything that other sites would need to be combined in order to have. It has thousands of active members who are willing to become your new friend; someone is always available to brighten your mood or to entertain if boredom strikes. It offers some of the best videos as well as allowing you to decorate your own domain. It gives you the freedom to be yourself while enjoying others who are like you.
